Summer Is a Great Time to Assign New Obligations

You can start by setting a firm bedtime schedule, getting up, and eating hours. This will provide a sense of routine and emotional stability. Then you can add another pattern to prep children for bedtime, like brushing their teeth, then putting on their pajamas, and reading a story before going to sleep. Associating a series of steps will facilitate sleep, which can also be extremely helpful when preventing insomnia.

Set a Time of Day to Do Something like Painting, Reading, or Crafting

Mainly to avoid distractions. Doing this delimits the time to watch television, play video games, or use the internet. If this generates many conflicts, it would be good to put a clock in front and explain to them when the designated time is to play around; when 5 minutes are left, set the alarm as a reminder and another one when time's up.

Lastly, Don't Forget About Yourself

Take the opportunity to reinforce your autonomy by doing things that you haven't yet had time to do (dressing alone, grooming, combing your hair). This way, you'll strengthen your self-esteem while looking your best for yourself and your family.

Another alternative for children to remain productive during the summer is to enroll them in tutoring in Greer to help them overcome their learning hurdles and get ready for the next school year. If you have questions, please call The Tutoring Center, Greer SC, at (864) 655-4664 to schedule their summer assessments and help them catch up with their peers if they've fallen behind at school.
